When he leaned back against her she closed her eyes and held him a little tighter. She didn’t want to move either, didn’t want to lose the first moment of peace they’d had all day, but it was inevitable.

“What about you?” she asked, placing a brief kiss against his shoulder. “You need some sleep too so you don’t drive us into a ditch tomorrow.”
