Of course she had seen his ‘scary side’ before, but after the emotional rollercoaster of the past few days she was determined to keep the mood light and fun for the rest of the day.

Tapping her lips as she considered Clint’s suggestion, she eventually nodded. “I can vouch for that,” she said. Maybe they hadn’t done a lot of cooking together but on nights when she actually did stay over Clint had always made her wonderful breakfasts. “She seems to be a bottomless pit, so that should definitely be enough to coax her out.”
