Clint kissed his way up her body, and by the time he reached her lips she was smiling warmly. “I wouldn’t dream of moving,” she said, snuggling down a little deeper on the sofa. It wasn’t all that comfortable, to be honest, but she waited until Clint had disappeared before straightening up again. Of course he had made sure to get her some water first which she gratefully sipped at.
She could hear him moving between the rooms, and while it would have been sappy and cliché she wouldn’t be surprised to find candles and flower petals awaiting her in the bedroom when she got there.
The water helped to rejuvenate her and she was feeling alert again by the time Clint returned for her. “Mm, definitely,” she replied, stroking his cheek with one hand. “Carry me?”
He had said it was her night and had offered whatever she wanted, so why not take advantage of that offer?
