The way Clint answered so quickly made it clear that it wasn’t something he wanted to think about either. Natasha had been so sure it was the best option, the only option, until the doctor had cleared up some of the beliefs she had been living with. Now she couldn’t imagine going through with such a thing, didn’t want to imagine it, nor how it would have affected her and Clint’s relationship.

She couldn’t help but smile warmly at him when he kissed her still flat stomach just as he had in her dream. She was so grateful for him, so grateful that he was going through this with her.
