“Nice to know they taught you some useful skills,” she teased, unable to keep the smile off of her face. It was ridiculous, Natasha Romanoff didn’t get ‘giddy’ or euphoric or whatever the hell this was she was feeling. She didn’t walk on clouds, her heart didn’t skip any beats, but in this moment she felt like all those stupid romantic clichés all rolled into one. It was stupid and childish and she couldn’t bring herself to care at the moment because above all else she felt happy, and that was a feeling she wanted to hold on to as long as she could.
