Smiling at his laughter, it was only with great reluctance that she didn’t try to keep him with her a moment longer. One more moment was never enough. The timbre of his voice sent a shiver through her, and lifting her head to watch him, it certainly didn’t escape her notice that he was putting on a show for her while he got dressed. Only once he was out of view did she flop back onto the mattress, a smile on her lips as she let her breath out in a loud puff.

Pulling the blanket up over her chest, Natasha rolled over and snuggled into the bed, her hand snaking over to the warm spot on the other side that they had just vacated. She was having a hard time truly identifying what she was feeling right now. Her muscles were a little sore, but not in an unpleasant way; her stomach felt strange (could that be the ‘butterflies’ thing that silly children spoke about). One thing she could identify: she was happy.

She had been joking before when she had shooed Clint off to the kitchen, and had every intention to join him and help where she could. The last thing she had actually meant to do was sleep, but curled up in his warm bed, the scent of him surrounding her, she closed her eyes for only a moment but it was enough and she drifted off to sleep.
