He found himself grinning when he pulled the car out to said highway, steering along the ocean right below them while the sun vanished on the horizon. So they both still had it in them, it seemed.
With every kilometer nearing that certain small village in the shadow of the Etna Volcano he felt the tension fall off him more. Salty, clean air floated in through the open windows and he allowed himself to breathe deep, understand and internalize that there was no mission to worry about, no hurry to get to the hiding place as quickly as possible, not even many weapons to speak of in his luggage. Only Natasha and him enjoying some time together.
