It had been just a short glimpse but he wouldn't ever get tired of the pleasure of Natasha's beautiful curves bare from all clothes. It always made him feel like a teenager seeing a naked woman for the first time. He convinced his libido - which thankfully was still kind of caught up in jet lag anyway - that now wasn't the time and kept his hands to himself for the moment.
There were other things to enjoy right now. Like watching Natasha's pale skin glow softly in the same bright light falling in through the window that he had just been admiring. See her relax in a way he hadn't often experienced it, free from the constant pressure of the next shooting or masquerade waiting. Things had fallen so naturally into place that he had to wonder why they had never done this before.
And at the same time he knew, of course, knew that the guy he had been before all this alien stuff wouldn't be here with her now, with the main concern being what there would be on his plate for lunch. For years - decades merely - there had been nothing but playing with the big guys on his plan. Doing his best, doing good for the world, chasing absolution for too many killshots he had taken without questioning. Playing the hero that no one had asked for.
Maybe he needed to be thankful for what happened in a way. At least it had woken him up from that illusion that a circus kid with a bow and an arrow could make a difference.
