Natasha smiled fondly at Clint’s sleepily slurred words as she stretched out against his side. She couldn’t help running one hand over the perfectly sculpted muscles of his back any more than she could resist placing a few kisses along his shoulder. Eventually, though, she rolled away, wanting to feel the crisp, cool sheets against her skin and bury her face in the soft pillow.
“Good night,” she murmured, sleep already tugging at her. It had been a long few days, and while everything was far from settled and there was still a lot to be afraid of, she felt relaxed and content enough in the moment to drift off with little resistance.
