The drive was interesting, and by the time they got stuck behind a donkey for a few extra metres Natasha was smiling without even knowing it. She had lived in a lot of different cities and each one had their quirks, and it was these quirks that she always loved. Tourists went to New York City to see the Empire State Building and Central Park, but it was the smaller neighbourhoods and the tiny hole-in-the-wall shops that she loved.
By the time they reached their destination she was feeling strangely serene, and when Clint kissed her she smiled against his lips and didn’t try to deepen it.
“Thank you,” she replied. “And you look very handsome in black, especially with that tan.”
