Natasha settled more comfortably against him, one finger tracing idle patterns on his chest. She was happy, in this moment even blissfully so. Tomorrow would bring more sickness and worries and challenges, no doubt, but for tonight she was happy and relaxed and as close to carefree as she got.
“Maybe you do,” she answered, a note of almost ‘I told you so’ quality in her voice. She was happy to leave Clint in charge, to let him pleasure her and set the pace, but there was only so much of watching him ignore his needs for her that she could take. He wasn’t like other men where she had to put on a mask and take control to get what she wanted. With Clint she did it because she wanted to, because she wanted him to enjoy himself just as much, and get off just as often. She wanted to please him as he pleased her, to hear his secret desires and maybe even play into a few of them. She wanted him to relax and let go and trust her to stop him if they ever stepped into territory she didn’t want to be in, though she understood his desire to never let it get that far. She knew him, knew how much it would bother him if he thought he had hurt her in any way. It was just better for him to not risk it, and she would never push him. She was just grateful that, even if only for tonight, he had given in to her completely.
She didn’t say it, but she was sure he would feel the gratitude in the gentle kiss she pressed to his lips.
