For Natasha’s part, she preferred to focus on the present than worry about the future. She knew they couldn’t really stay like this forever, and as wonderful as that sounded now she knew it wasn’t something she really wanted. As important as Clint had become to her, the most important thing in her life if she was honest, she knew they couldn’t build their worlds around each other, it wasn’t healthy. They needed time apart too, time to miss each other and think about each other so that they never began to take each other for granted. Every couple needed space sometimes, but that was in the future and for the present she was content to make that space as small as possible.
“Only two days?” she questioned, wondering what he was groaning for. He couldn’t possibly be ready to go again so soon. He certainly didn’t feel ready against her. “Had I known you were such a lightweight maybe I would have chosen a different partner.”
