He dipped his head to her neck again, nibbling on her skin gently to take the emotional edge of his words, though he didn't mean them any less. There had been enough serious talk for the night. For the same reason he didn't try to tell her that being with him shouldn't be about a bargain in any way for her. That was not how he lived his life but it had long been a great part of hers, and some things needed time to be forgotten.
"It's fine, red. You know I love spending time with you. We can refreshen our occasional Russian conversations, though, if you need something to laugh. I'm afraid my pronunciation is still unworthy."
