For a long moment she shuddered and trembled against him, her breathing short and quick as she slowly came back down from her pleasurable high. Placing a few sloppy kisses against his skin, she pillowed her head on his chest and tried to catch her breath, a smile curving her lips when Clint kissed her shoulder.
She didn’t try to speak; what could she say right now? She felt raw and completely exposed, but that wasn’t the scary part; the frightening part was that she didn’t care, that she might even actually enjoy it. Burying her face in his chest she breathed in his scent; he smelled of love and safety and home.
