She didn’t think Clint was even capable of cheating on her, though she couldn’t truthfully claim she hadn’t wondered if he had taken her silence after his confession as proof that their relationship would never progress and had decided to move on. It wasn’t like he could have contacted her to tell her he had found someone who wasn’t afraid to show her affection.
Meeting his eyes again when he punched her shoulder, she propped her hands on her hips in mock irritation. “Just because I don’t hug everyone who does something nice for me or cry over every little thing doesn’t mean I’m a hardass.” Unless it was just Clint that this girl liked to throw herself at.
