They didn’t get a lot of time off together, at least not enough to make a trip away worthwhile, so for this one weekend they decided to stay in the city and play tourist for the day.

They had started with a walk through Central Park before grabbing an early lunch at one of the city’s many street vendors and then wandering through the American Museum of Natural history. Natasha found the Hall of Minerals fascinating while Clint had gotten a kick out of all the dinosaur bones. They both enjoyed laying under the big blue whale with all the normal people.

Afterwards they went to a nice restaurant for supper, blending into the crowd of normal couples as best they could and Natasha actually forgot if she was playing a role or being herself as they finished their wine and shared their desserts.

“Thank you,” she said sincerely as they left the restaurant, stepping back into the cool night air. Nearby a busker played guitar and sang with surprising melody and soul, barely seeming to notice as people threw change into his open case, so caught up was he in his music.

They stood close enough to each other that Natasha had to feel and see the shudder running through his body at the sudden change in her voice, her words. And the way he drew his lower lip between his teeth for a second, to bite back a gasp. Fuck, she was hot when she was being bossy. He listened well, though of course he had to play his game as well, not that Natasha minded one bit. If fact she ground herself against his leg for a moment, closing her eyes at the sensation before continuing her task. Pulling his shirt off over his head, she ran her hands along his arms, feeling his muscles twitch and flex. She had never seen a more appetizing pair of arms in her life, muscular and veiny but not too much. Standing on her tip toes, she kissed along his shoulder to one perfect bicep. “Mm, I can tell,” she said, dragging her tongue along his arm before biting down on his skin, not enough to break through but definitely more than the usual playful nips. A growl, feral and impatient, escaped Clint's lips. Fuck, as if she didn't know exactly what it did to him when she bit him.

He quickly got the rest of his shirt off his stretched arms and slung it over the curtain rail to hold on to it. If he started touching her now, this would be over in a matter of seconds and that was definitely not where this should be headed.

Instead he let that muscles she admired so much play against her lips, enjoying that sweet low burn from her mark with an aroused sigh while he waited for her next move. For the moment he was content to get under the perfectly mixed water spray and stretch out, unashamed, to let it wash off all the traces the day had left. And of course he used his muscles a little more than necessary when leaning back and raising his arms to get the worst of salt and sand out of his hair.

"You coming?"

He raised an eyebrow at her, a positively dirty grin playing on his lips.

Natasha was surprised he resisted the temptation, and a little bit disappointed that he didn’t give in to his instincts, but he was clearly still playing her game and behaving himself as best he could while letting her call all of the shots. She could tell he was very much on edge, though, a fact that he didn’t even try to hide from her. She loved when he voice got all rough like that.

He was also far from graceful, his movements a bit erratic until he got himself safely into the shower.

Straightening up once she was happy with the temperature, Natasha stood at the side of the tub a moment and just admired the view as Clint stretched and flexed while he rinsed out his hair.

“Not yet, but I’m sure you’ll remedy that soon enough,” she said, returning his grin before stepping lithely into the shower with him. Standing before him, she ran her hands slowly up his arms until she reached his wrists, her fingers wrapping around them as she leaned in for a searing kiss.

"Planning to. Your call though", Clint answered in that low husky drawl she obviously enjoyed so much.

Where he had kept it together pretty perfectly so far, when Natasha's naked body pressed against him under the warm water, the arousal finally broke free, and he couldn't help press his groin into hers with a grunt.

Feeling much less messy than after hours in the bright sun, he longed to take Natasha in his arms again but held back like the gentleman he was when he was already standing by the door, a towel lazily slung around his hips.

It was hard to tear herself away from him, and while she certainly wasn’t opposed to having a bit more fun in the shower she thought they’d had enough water sexploits for now, especially when there was a nice, comfortable bed waiting for them in the other room that they hadn’t put through its paces yet.

Drying herself off thoroughly, there wasn’t much she could do with her hair but wrap it up in a towel to sop up some of the water before disappearing into the bedroom. Finding the set she wanted in one of the bureau drawers, Natasha dressed quickly in purple lace, completing the look with a pair of black six-inch stilettos. Combing out her wet tresses, she took a look at her reflection and frowned. Just like the bikini the lingerie didn’t fit quite as well as it had when she had purchased it, and she covered her slightly swollen belly with her hands. Luckily her top had filled out to the point of almost spilling over, so it was likely that Clint wouldn’t even notice her stomach.

Hearing his voice near the door, she turned toward the sound and struck a pose, one hand behind her head and the other on her hip. “I do hope that the rumours of your affinity for purple are not entirely false,” she said with an enigmatic grin.

Clint knew, he was staring like an idiot and should probably close his mouth or at least say something, but he was far too busy eating Natasha alive with the pure power of his gaze. Well... That was definitely not what he had expected.

Not something that exquisite, delicate, beautiful, something she would usually wear at work if it was absolutely necessary, but certainly not for him. It wasn't like it was necessary. He was crazy for her, no matter how she looked.

But the way she looked right now, maddeningly sexy with all her wonderful curves presented perfectly and that sweet, nearly innocent color barely hiding certain favorite body parts of his... That was a picture to behold and he certainly would. Her pale smooth skin gleamed softly against the lingerie in the fading evening light, inviting - demanding - to be touched. He was gaping, and it was exactly the reaction Natasha had been hoping for. She had slicked her hair back severely with her comb, so it did not hide a single inch of the skin she displayed, at least not in the front. She had other outfits of course, the more obvious black numbers that were more leather than lace, but this one was special for him, only for him, and nothing like anything she had worn in the past for any reason.

When he finally spoke she could feel herself getting wet again just from his voice, from the proof of just what she did to him... though there was certainly some visual proof as well that his towel did little to cover.
